Asphalted two more kilometers of the track along the Djetinja gorge

Along the gorge of the River Djetinja, has been asphalted 2,2 more kilometers. Nature lovers, who like to spend their free time walking along the old railway, can use seven kilometers of asphalt. There is a plan to close the whole track for traffic.

The Mayor of the City of Uzice Mr. Tihomir Petkovic pointed out  that this investment (around 85 000 €) was not financed by the City, but by the PE “Roads of Serbia”.

” In the next period we are planning asphalting of one kilometer of a bypass towards the village Stapari, in order to enable the people from that village to come and go to the city, and all that in the purpose of closing the traffic along the gorge Djetinja walking path. It should make safer conditions for all users”, said Mr. Petkovic.
